Fairleigh Dickinson University Project Coordinator - Grants Funded--Part-time in Teaneck, New Jersey

Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator will be the point of contact for the day-to-day operations of FDU ENGAGED (“Educating the Next Generation to Advance Growth through Empowerment and Diversity”). Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Coordinator will implement, manage, coordinate, and track project activities and trainees.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  2. A minimum of 2 years administrative work experience is required, preferably in an academic environment, including office and budget management, and program coordination.

  3. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

  4. Experience with personal computer systems for word processing, spreadsheet, data management, and other computer functions. Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Knowledge of Datatel a plus.

  5. Ability to type 50 words per minute with 85% accuracy in a five minute test.

  6. Excellent human relations and written and oral communications skills.

  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  8. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
