Global Commercial Planning Lead

Position Overview:

The Global Commercial Demand Planning Lead will establish and govern a central demand planning process, standardize demand planning processes across all zones, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency. This role will act as a central point of contact between Zone Demand Planners and Business Line Integrated Business Planning (IBP)/Supply Chain Management (SCM).

Key Responsibilities:

    • : Establish and govern a central demand planning process in alignment with Business Lines and Supply Chain Management.
    • Process Standardization: Implement and standardize demand planning processes across all zones.
    • : Develop and guide Zone Demand Planners in improving forecasting processes and accuracy via data tools.
    • : Ensure process steps and tool utilization are executed across all zones. Collaborate with the Data Analytics group to integrate and optimize the tool landscape for planning.
    • : Support the enhancement of statistical forecast models by providing relevant customer information to the Data Analytics group.
    • : Facilitate and enable decision-making for Commercial Leadership and Business Lines on forecasting topics.
    • : Articulate and communicate demand uncertainties and risks. Develop options for optimizing inventory, replenishment, and demand plans to supply planning.
    • : Act as a partner and first point of contact for collaboration between Zone and Business Line Integrated Business Planning/SCM. Consult and inform the respective Supply Chain Heads of demand and supply issues.
    • : Present status and issues on product supply for respective markets or regions to the Sales & Operations Planning meeting. Manage key performance indicators/targets used in the demand planning area.
Requirements:
    • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
    • Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field, ideally in multi-national companies in the life sciences or healthcare sector
    • Forecasting: a strong track record of process improvement and driving forecasting accuracy.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting tools (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP IBP), and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., DXCon, Shareville, Smartsheet). Advanced Excel skills are essential.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Leadership and Development: Proven experience in developing and guiding teams, particularly in a global or multi-zone context (Ability to mentor and support Zone Demand Planners)
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Data Analytics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Process Management: Strong understanding of demand planning processes, with the ability to implement and standardize these processes across multiple regions.
    • Customer Focus: Strong understanding of customer needs and market trends, with the ability to incorporate this knowledge into demand forecasting.
    • Decision-Making: Ability to facilitate and enable decision-making for senior leadership on forecasting topics. Experience in risk management and communicating demand uncertainties.
    • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to staying updated on new data analytics tools and methodologies. Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
    • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
    • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.

The pay range for this position is $170,000.00 - $260,000.00 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
