• Fishbowl inventory management system is a plus

Job Description:

The Packaging Supervisor is to ensure all products are packed safely and maintain a sanitary environment which meets all food safety regulations. Train new hires on production procedures and lead a small team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
• Oversees startups for daily production.
• Assisting with the creation of and revising the weekly production schedule.
• Troubleshoot machine troubles / assist maintenance when necessary.
• Trains workers in operation of equipment
• Ensure training of new hires.
• Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations.
• Ensure production schedules are met
• Monitor and recommend improvements to process and develop and maintain all packing orders
• Coordinate with quality to ensure food safety procedures are being followed.
• Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure components are delivered.
• Enter daily batch reconciliation reports into the inventory management system.
• Verify production information
• Use tools and equipment, including knives/ box cutters, ladders, step stool, and pallet jacks
• Performs additional duties as needed

$40,000 to $45,000 per year; depends on experience. Benefits are offered.
