JOB SUMMARY:

The vCIO will work remotely providing virtual CIO services for our customer(s). This position has a high level of visibility within our firm and within the customers organization.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

This position reports to the Managing CIO and will interface with executive staff, all internal and remote employees, including current customer(s).

SKILLS, ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide an annual strategic technology plan and budget for each customer
• Deliver quarterly reports regarding IT Support services and IT Infrastructure health to the client.
• Maintain communication with those individuals responsible for day to day operations at the customer site to be aware of issues and trends in regards to Support
• Maintain communication with the Systems Architect to be aware of issues with consulting project completion.
• Provide feedback on service delivery to the individuals responsible for day to day operations, respectively.
• During the new customer onboarding process work with the Systems Architect to deliver the resulting report and recommendations at the Onboarding completion meeting
• Provide technical guidance, counsel and direction for all individuals on team, as needed to resolve technical issues.
• Contacting various vendors as needed to support assigned clientele.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in MIS or related degree or higher

Preferred Certifications: A+, Network+, MCSE, CCNA, Office 365 andor greater

Preferred Work Experience: Managed Service Provider or Consulting environment

Knowledge of, or ability to learn Cisco, HP Switches, Sonicwall/WatchGuard, VMware, Hyper-V, EqualLogic, Nexsan, Tegile

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Outlook, Word, Excel.

Strong working knowledge of switching, routing and firewalls.
