JOB SUMMARY:
The Recruitment Coordinator assists with and performs both administrative tasks related to the recruitment and staffing efforts, as well as actively recruits requirements for active and open positions.
SKILLS, ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
- Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference checks (work history, education, training, job skills), and salary requirements; makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
- Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
- Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assists to develop recruitment strategies to achieve required recruitment levels.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
- Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
- Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.
- Coordinates and conducts background checks and drug testing for applicants.
- Develops and conducts training programs with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
- Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
- Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
- Participates in development of annual recruiting budget.
- Other duties as assigned related to administrative tasks for recruitment operations.
