Citigroup SVP, Senior Data Engineering Manager - C14 in Tampa, Florida
As part of Citi Services Technology team, the Senior Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for all the Core Banking transformation initiatives across Information Management. The senior leader will own the end to end delivery for all initiatives including CCB Migration, LATAM and US transformation.
The senior leader will manage the development and implementation all end to end data pipelines across Vanguard, GBS and GIW for CCB, LATAM and UST. The individual will also own implementation of data standards and integration of data across multiple applications for Core Banking domain to support Core Banking Transformation projects. Core Banking teams are undergoing a multi-year transformation to rationalize and standardize client offerings, retire legacy infrastructure and build out next generation, best-in-class capabilities to support client needs across multiple geographies. This individual will be responsible for supporting the business standardization framework and will be a liaison between Core accounts team and PDS team for Citi North America (and later other geographies), focusing on capabilities, business & operational processes and data.
The position requires an experienced individual who is equal parts Problem Solver and Execution Driver. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, be detail oriented and have an aptitude for understanding complex technology ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience leading Application and Data Development projects
8+ years of experience in database technologies including RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Sybase) and Big Data Hadoop (Cloudera)
5+ years experience and good understanding of various Big Data technology skills including but not limited to Hadoop, Kafka, OpenShift, Spark etc.
5+ years of experience in applications development involved in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and Cloud/AWS technologies
Strong data SME who has worked on large scale data projects and is hands-on with data analysis and repo.
Experience managing global technology teams
Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Strong understanding of the DDA system and the financial domain is a plus

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
