Position Description

Duties

  • Supervise departments, managing job tasks as necessary for the movement of bulk, bags and other products through the facility

  • Observes and insures compliance of safety rules and procedures

  • Assures new employees are trained as necessary for tasks to be performed.

  • Assist in managing priorities of departments and workers.

  • Established or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Follow and enforce all rules and procedures established by Kinder Morgan for the safe and efficient operation bulk, bags and other products through the facility.

  • Understands and can communicate operations associated with movement of products.

  • Train and develop subordinates in terminal operations, loading and unloading procedures.

  • Interprets company policies to workers and insures compliance.

  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

  • Works with terminal management for full understanding of job requirements.

  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.

  • Evaluates procedures and recommends improvements for equipment operation and quality handling.

    Position Requirements

Experience / Knowledge

  • Must be able to understand the needs of the terminal and effectively communicate to departments in order to maximize efficiency of terminal.

  • Understanding of bulk operations / equipment preferred.

  • Ability to present ideas and results to management.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work including tracking and managing small projects and see these to completion.

  • Ability to work with as a part of a team & take direction from management.

  • Possess high degree of attention to details, follow work rules and adhere to established work schedules.
