JPMorgan Chase Site Reliability Engineer in Tampa, Florida

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, build, and refactor major software components that improve the availability, resilience, performance of our system. Help to build the technology roadmap to balance between delivery and stability and create plans to close the gaps in reliability by building robust patterns that can be leveraged by other teams. Evaluate distributed system best practices and frameworks and perform gap analysis with the existing system. Participate in deep technical discussions in the context of the product roadmap and potential risks. Work in partnership with various groups and individuals including Technology Production Management, Technology Operations, Technology Application Development, Technology Product Management, Technology Architecture, and Business Operations to achieve goals including improving the availability, resilience, and performance of technology and operational systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Site Reliability Engineer, Software Developer, Software Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Software Developer, Software Programmer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Software, Reliability, Cloud and Data Architecture and Engineering; Product, Project, Release, Production and Stakeholder Management; Spinnaker; DynamoDB; Datadog; AWS; Terraform; Jenkins; Spring WebFlux; Spring Boot; and Kubernetes.

Job Location: 10420 Highland Manor Drive, Tampa, FL 33610. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
