Must have the following to apply:
- Must have own tools
- Five years related ship building/ship repair experience
- Three years minimum supervisory experience within the ship repair or comparable industry
- Knowledge of marine-related equipment, ship repair techniques, sequencing of ship repair activities as well as shipyard safety practices
- Ability to read blueprints and communicate the work scope to team
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, plusmetric conversion
- Ability to work in confined spaces as well as work above ground at heights of 50+ feet
- Ability to climb scaffolding or ride man lifts
- Knowledge and understanding of USCG and ABS rules and regulations
- Ability to coordinate various information related to projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Bilingual is a plus

Job Description:
The company is looking to hire an Outside Machinist Foreperson who will be responsible for planning and coordinating the efforts to attain quality, schedules, and objectives for the department and organization while motivating them to accomplish the work safely, correctly, and efficiently. Direct and supervise the Outside Machinist Department, andthis includes staff requirements, material, job layout, and scheduling of work hours.The Outside Machinist Foreperson will assist in developing training, productivity, and correction action if necessary and is responsible for making the team accountable for the completion and correctness of work.
Operate under strict quality, safety, environmental, and health regulations and policies.

Days and Hours:
Full-Time position. 2nd shift available.

Pay:
$34.87 to $36.50 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are offered.
