About the role

The Senior Project Management Operations (PMO) Manager will manage a team responsible for facilitating medium to large, sophisticated, cross-functional PMO projects, programs, processes, and team with an emphasis on governance.

This job is part of the Program Management function responsible for the creation and delivery of strategic programs. The Sr. PMO Manager will partner with Finance on capital planning initiatives for our financial services client 1.3 million sq. ft. commercial real estate portfolio. This is a 3/2 hybrid role in either Tampa, FL or Tempe, AZ central to client’s corporate facilities.

What you’ll do

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Ensure that all functions remain on schedule and any issues get raised and resolved so that the program gets completed on time.

Manage internal and external relationships in support of programs.

Work with key partners to develop solutions and guide project teams throughout delivery.

Build & distribute routine PMO reports, which include status reports and updated Gantt charts.

Showcase expertise in own job subject area and in-depth knowledge of other job fields within the organization function.

Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. PgMP or PMP certifications preferred

  • Former PMO experience and understanding of construction project management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in Smartsheet, Vantage, and Kahua is beneficial

  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.

  • Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

  • Strong finance background with ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
