Pfizer Senior Manager, Records Management in Tampa, Florida

The GBS Enterprise Services (ES) - Business Operations Services & Solutions (BOS&S) Records Management eArchive role is responsible for providing guidance on Pfizer's record management obligations, identifying, and leveraging record storage solutions, and defining Pfizer's records and information management strategy.

The Records Management eArchive role will partner with 3rd party vendors and Pfizer's Digital Teams, as well as represent services internally to Pfizer stakeholder to provide subject matter expertise for both physical and electronic records archive and retrieval of Company Records to the enterprise. In addition, the role will lead Pfizer eArchive Service Team (PAST) processes pertaining to the management and disposal of inactive company records. The role follows all enterprise Record & Information Management (eRIM) policies and standards and establishes new standards and processes that are required to support the electronic archiving solution.

These projects will require technical proficiency with the Pfizer RIM system and close partnership with external vendors, internal stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise, and throughout all markets where Pfizer conducts business to evaluate specific RIM project needs and then to develop strategies to meet those needs via both Pfizer specific and external vendor provided resources and solutions.

This role may also be responsible to manage special projects within the Enterprise Services team.

RIM Consulting & Technology Engagement

  • Engage with internal clients to match Enterprise RIM needs to eRIM offered solutions.

  • Partner with internal clients in the implementation of eArchive solutions. Examples include leveraging cost-effective storage and technology solutions based on data type and retention needs.

  • Lead the delivery of internal services related to records management.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., business units, IT teams) to understand their RIM service needs and requirements and to ensure that service delivery meet their expectations.

Vendor Relationship P artnership

  • Manage and lead engagement with 3rd party vendors in the execution of customer-facing vendor operations relating to RIM activities across the globe.

  • Lead the identification of potential suppliers for service delivery operations and ensure that they meet the company's Sourcing criteria.

  • Engage with vendors to measure vendor performance to ensure that they are meeting agreed-upon service levels.

People Management & Development, where applicable

  • Lead teams of staff or outsourced vendor to manage and monitor processes supporting records management during business transformation events.

  • Oversee training and support to other employees involved in records management processes to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identifies, establishes, and manages relationships with key stakeholders including close collaboration with the Pfizer's Digital teams which shares responsibility for electronic archive solutions.

  • Establishes and manages Pfizer eArchive Governance program and Committee.

  • Identifies, creates, and maintains processes pertaining to the archive and long-term preservation of physical & electronic records in which eRIM acts as the custodian.

  • Collaborate with Pfizer's Digital Migration teams on structured and unstructured data migration approach.

  • Point of escalation for 3rd party vendor providing records ingest and retrieval support for Pfizer.

  • Maintains 'archive ready' standards which determine the minimum metadata required for records of all media types prior to archive.

  • Works with internal customers and vendors to establish scope, responsibilities, and costs for non 'business-as-usual' record projects.

  • Provides record management guidance, training, and support to vendors & customers as needed to support eRIM's archival services & solutions.

  • Act as point of escalation for eRIM records storage vendor issues or concerns.

Technical Skills/ Other Job Skills

  • Experience with vendor technology solutions.

  • Experience in supporting risk & compliance management.

  • Experience in supporting client relationship management, leadership, and customer service in a technological context.

  • Track record of performing business partnerships & delivering value to clients.

  • Experience performing client expectation management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in given service discipline.

  • Prior in-house records management, contract management, vendor management, privacy operations or legal experience.

  • Experience of analyzing market research for identification of potential suppliers for service delivery operations.

  • Ability to independently develop standardized operating procedures for end-to-end service delivery.

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional leaders.

  • Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities.

  • Strong business operations acumen and a bias for action.

  • Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Strong stakeholder relationship building abilities, negotiation & influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or master's degree in strategy, management, or related field is a plus.

  • Preferred licenses or certifications: PMP, LEAN, ARMA, IAPP.

  • Demonstrated experience with records, information governance, and/or systems integration and migrations.

  • Experience in supporting client relationship management, leadership, and customer service in a technological context.

  • Track record of performing business partnerships & delivering value to clients.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $105,500.00 to $175,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
