Objectives/Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for all demand planning activities for Tampa products including but not limited to Pharma, Consumer and EMOs. Support of the Monthly S&OP process. Manage Supply Chain elements for key projects/product launches.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating all demand planning activities for Tampa products including but not limited to Pharmaceuticals. Along with External Manufacturing demand planning.

  • Collaborate with Commercial, R&D, and Manufacturing on developing product forecasts. Review historical sales, research demand events, prepare forecast date and evaluate forecast performance.

  • Collaborate with Procurement on developing supply plans to support demand for EMOs.

  • Generate demand planning data monthly and facilitate meeting with Commercial and Manufacturing to reach a consensus on the demand forecast.

  • Generate Demand Agreement Meeting/presentation. Contribute demand planning data and metrics and project updates for S&OP process.

  • Achieve high level of customer service for all product lines. Manage product forecast performance. Monitor inventory levels to ensure alignment with Finance.

  • Support new product development and launch activities including the forecasting of both pipeline customer inventory requirements, projected on-going demand and commercialization of new products/new product variants.

  • Independently conduct demand/supply analytics and provide insights on trends, inventory movement, safety stock, obsolescence, capacity, and backorders.

  • Generate 13 week rolling coverage file to transfer Demand to Production Planners.

  • Utilize and maintain Manugistics system including the following: initial new item setup, generating statistical forecasts, reviewing forecast models and properties, and performing ad hoc forecast adjustments as needed.

Qualifications/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree with related experience required. MBA/APICS a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years planning experience, preferably within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business. Background in logistics or procurement, a plus. Proven experience in managing demand planning activities in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing inventory levels to ensure high level of customer service while meeting financial objectives.

  • Developing planning strategies which comprehend and contribute to overall business objectives is a must.

  • Candidate must have thorough understanding of S&OP process and experience in using demand planning systems. Experience with Manugistics is strongly preferred.

  • Candidate must have the ability to actively participate on regional multi-functional teams, a proven capability in workload management, exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal skills, problem solving skills and significant experience with Microsoft Office applications.
