Job Title: Sr. Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our accounting team in Tampa, FL. This role will be responsible for journal entries, general ledger analysis, financial reporting, and reconciliations of related accounts or other financial and analytical projects as directed. It also requires attention to detail and solid analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries.
Reconcile accounts to the general ledger.
Create, review, and provide reports.
Review transactions for compliance with company policy and GAAP.
Work with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding.
Assist with the preparation of budgets.
Perform duties that may be general accounting in nature or more specialized and focused, such as payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations.
Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least six years of experience in accounting.
Proficiency in Oracle, Blackline, or other integrated software.
Understanding of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP.
Audit experience.
International business experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in general ledger, reconciliation, month-end processes, journal entries, financial statements, and audit procedures.
Work Environment
The position requires working first shift with an 8am/9am start. The schedule includes at least two days in the office each week. Initial training will be held on-site, which may require being on-site five days a week to get situated with the company and systems. The dress code is business casual.
