Citigroup Regulatory Risk Sr Analyst - C12 - TAMPA in Tampa, Florida

The Variable Inventory team is part of the Enterprise Scenario Design team within the Enterprise Risk Analytics and Stress Testing (ERA) group in Citi Risk Management and is broadly responsible for internal and regulatory (i.e., CCAR and ICAAP) stress testing at Citi with emphasis on scenario design and variable expansion.

The Governance Data Officer is a junior professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish data standards, business rules, procedures, and policies for enterprise-wide Scenario Design (ESD) process.

  • Maintain ESD variable inventory, including meta data, and manage new variable requests.

  • Document usage of authoritative variable usage across risk and financial workstreams.

  • Work with downstream and ESD modelers to identify variable demise opportunities and determine how to implement enhancement to existing processes or implement new functions to meet the new business and regulatory requirements.

  • Be able to review multiple requirements from different client groups, evaluate the existing technology system capability, identify opportunities to align with Citi’s end-to-end target infrastructure strategy, standard and optimize business processes, consolidate technology system infrastructure, streamline data flow.

  • Work with project management team to ensure timely delivery of the project.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years’ experience

  • Familiar with the CCAR/CECL and enterprise stress testing scenarios is a plus.

  • Proven expertise in implementation for financial data as inputs into models.

  • Experience of project management and coordination with cross functional teams including business, PMO and technology.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python.

  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to synthetize for high level communication.
