Objectives/Purpose of Job:

The MOB Process Engineer is responsible for providing engineering technical support to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations for business-critical projects aligned with manufacturing site priorities to ensure continuity of supply of products.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  1. Executing manufacturing process improvements, process and cleaning evaluations and validations, qualifying raw material suppliers, evaluating container and closure systems, coordinating and manufacturing sample, laboratory, process validation batches.

  2. Leading the planning and execution of the overall project to meet the required functionality, quality, cost and schedule goals. This includes development of a project plan with key milestones, resource requirement, project schedule and initiating and managing the change control process.

  3. Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs and communicate/escalate to stakeholders when needed.

  4. Provide regular project updates to management at the monthly MOB Governance meeting

  5. Work closely with the Pharma MOB Portfolio Lead to ensure alignment of project deliverables and timing and identify and resolve technical conflicts and resource constraints.

  6. Complying with company cGMP and safety practices and procedures, including, participating in GMP training, FDA audits and fulfilling aseptic gowning requirements.

Qualifications/Training:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or related engineering or physical science degree.

  • Strong engineering skills in a cGMP environment.

  • Good oral and written communication skills. Project management and Time management skills.

  • Computer literate; capable of operating Microsoft Office including MS Project, Visio and Minitab.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English and possess basic math skills.
