Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Welders for projects located in and around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $45/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Position fillet & butt welds using the SMAW shielded metal arc process
Fuse inserts & weld carbon steel, stainless steel, & copper nickel pipe using the SMAW and GTAW gas tungsten arc welding processes
Mirror weld using the SMAW & GTAW processes
Heating oxygen/propane heaitng torch
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
5+ Years of Commercial/Naval Experience
Experience working in shipboard sub-assemblies, on ladders, staging, etc.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the positions using the SMAW and GTAW processes
Weld Test
