Summary Description:
- The Learning & Development Manager manages the training and organizational development functions of the organization. Consults with business unit management in the planning process and development of human resources, they will identify development needs, implement the Learning & Development Programs to meet the needs across managers & experienced professionals’ level. Ensures excellent HR service to all levels of associates. Provides HR leadership and expertise as employee advocate, change agent and general Learning & Development subject matter expert.
Essential Functions:
Designs, develops, and deploys processes and leadership development programs designed to maximize employee productivity, performance, and engagement or close skill or knowledge gaps.
Analyzes results of assessments, focus groups, or employee interviews and develops and delivers interventions or training programs designed to address areas to be improved. May be responsible for management development programs, technical training, sales training, safety training, or train the trainer programs.
Facilitates and coaches local training professionals on conducting needs analysis, as well as defining metrics to measure the success of leadership development programs.
Partner with Business & HR leaders to develop and execute results-driven Learning and talent management outcomes which meet current and future needs driving innovation in talent development.
Assist with the Talent Management Review Process in coordination with HRBPs and Function, ensuring alignment with our TMR Strategy.
Facilitate individual development conversations and coaching to help leaders improve their leadership skills.
Serves as internal consultant to managers, supervisors and associates on Learning & Development matters.
Help develop, organize, and train leadership development activities across the organization, including Leadership Bootcamps and other leadership training initiatives
Manage the Thomas assessment process
Manage the Training Curriculum and deploy through a variety of methods (LMS, instructor led, etc)
Source and develop external partnerships with 3rd Parties (training partners, talent management partners, etc.) and maximize the quality of service and return on investment
Work with and network with HR colleagues across all locations to ensure sharing of best practice
Encourage a safe working environment by actively participating in safety related activities
Ensures a timely and complete delivery of HR data & metrics for either standardized reports or ad hoc info requests
Ensure comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all HR policies and procedures as well as external influences such as employment legislation, laws and regulations
Develops a strong understanding and appreciation of the company’s organizational structure, corporate culture, and business objectives in order to develop and implement Training programs and processes that are aligned with and sensitive to the Company’s organizational values and objectives
Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Post-Secondary Diploma or equivalent with a concentration in Human Resources
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or Talent Management role.
Solid knowledge of learning & development industry trends
Experience with Learning Management System (LMS), SuccessFactors experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands– Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.
Visual/Sensory – This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.
Work environment – Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure.
Mental Stress – There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, project management, accuracy or similar demands.
Travel Requirements:
- Based in Tampa corporate office with minimal travel requirements.
