Valet Living HR Operations Associate - Bilingual (Spanish/English) in Tampa, Florida

As a People Operations Associate (HR Operations), you will ensure a seamless and positive experience for all new hires and current associates. The People Operations team is important in helping associates understand and navigate our company procedures, policies, and systems, ensuring a smooth integration into our company. Our mission is to provide exceptional support for our fast-growing company. Our ideal candidate will be energetic, driven, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills, with a good eye for detail.

Hourly Range: $19.00 - $21.00

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Work environment: Primary work from home with occasional visits to the local Tampa corporate office two times per month

Responsibilities:

New Hire Support:

  • Expedite the processing and onboarding of new hires, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet the needs of our clients, residents, and field partners in a high-volume environment.

  • Guide new associates through the onboarding process, completing the necessary tasks, ensuring the candidate/new hire completes the necessary steps and understands the next steps in the process.

  • Facilitate a welcoming and informative onboarding experience for all new hire interactions.

  • Provide one-on-one assistance to new hires, answering questions and addressing concerns promptly.

Associate Support:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for associates, providing timely and accurate support for their inquiries.

  • Assist associates and managers with understanding and navigating company policies and procedures.

  • Respond to associate inquiries through the company’s case management system, ensuring quick resolution and satisfaction.

  • Answer associate phone calls and respond to voicemails, providing clear and helpful information.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Verify I-9 documentation and ensure all associate information is accurate and current.

  • Review background checks and handle adjudication per company guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with various administrative tasks such as data input into Workday, ad-hoc report creation, and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.

  • Maintain confidential personnel files and manage personnel actions with discretion and integrity.

  • Process employment verifications and wage audits, preparing necessary documentation and paperwork.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain and document process procedures for the People Operations team, creating self-service resources for all associates.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency, making data-driven recommendations.

  • Participate in testing Workday updates, changes, and releases to ensure smooth system operation.

  • Engage in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in onboarding and associate support.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Bilingual Spanish/English

  • 0-2 years of related experience with HR experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint

  • A positive team player who’s passionate about cultivating a supportive, inclusive workplace culture

  • The ability to easily task-switch and prioritize accordingly, comfortable juggling different tasks and ensuring they are completed on time and without errors

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to quickly digest and execute new processes and work with a high degree of autonomy

  • Takes ownership and uses critical thinking to find solutions to drive a positive associate experience

  • Able to handle sensitive and critical information, conversations, and situations with compassion and discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

  • Workday experience

The final compensation offered will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
