The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities:

This role requires the ideal candidate to mandate and deliver on the following key areas, among other responsibilities:

  • Oversight for reporting and packaging for Executive, Management Committee, Regulatory, and/or Board materials.

  • Management of executive routines for ITA, including preparing for and running Forums and Management Committees.

  • Own governance and related compliance activities, in collaboration with regulatory affairs team, to ensure proper documentation and escalation evidence related to chartered bodies.

  • Serve as key point of contact and drive ITA completion for enterprise governance initiatives (e.g., Resolution Planning, Records and Information Management, etc.).

  • Support routine and ad hoc management reporting routines (e.g., Board materials, monthly updates to home office executives, QBR/MBR, etc.).

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years working in leadership positions within Financial Services, and a minimum 10+ years in a managerial position within Technology (both in strategic and execution roles) with fiscal responsibility for large programs or departments

  • 10+ years’ experience in planning and executing employee engagement

  • Hands-on experience as a corporate secretary, managing executive committees/forums, collaborating with cross-functional partners and leaders in technology, risk, audit, governance, regulatory affairs, HR and finance

  • Ownership over creating and presenting Board-level materials, delivering /reporting across a corporate function, and running chartered forums and committees

  • Deep expertise in serving in a governance role, with understanding of responsibilities over charters, escalations, meeting minutes, records management, documentation required for regulatory compliance/responsiveness, and responses to audit or external examinations

  • Experience collaborating on enterprise level governance initiatives, like Resolution Planning

  • Understanding and adherence to corporate governance policies and proceduresAbility to work closely with executive leaders to establish and maintain governance frameworks

  • Execution on key strategic and regulatory commitments related to committee governance

  • Collaboration with the lines of business and key functions to ensure presentations within committee materials follow guidelines and meet quality standards. This includes the ability to provide constructive feedback on creating impactful presentations and ensure their preparedness.

  • Must have proven experience within a large, highly matrixed organization with recent work related to standards and governance

  • Extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience interpreting and applying one or more recognized, related compliance and/or risk management regulations and frameworks to develop governance

  • Strong management skills, excellent communication skills, both oral & written, and ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Strong exposure to Governance, Audit, Regulatory Affairs, running meetings/Taking Minutes w/ Sr. Leadership, Ensuring Compliance, Resolution Planning, and strong documentation and Reporting

  • Good consensus-builder; able to drive large scale initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, work through obstacles and remove barriers

  • Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization, and be viewed as a team player

  • Advanced systems knowledge with strong capabilities in Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel (including pivots tables and VLOOKUP)

  • Strong Office 365 and presentation skills

  • Effective use of collaboration tools, such as MS Teams and SharePoint

  • Big 4 or top tier management consulting experience preferred

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred

  • Understanding of regulatory environment and compliance concerns required

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new capabilities/tools based on business needs

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business/Management, Finance or Technology related fields or Equivalent work experience is equally preferable.

Other Qualifications:

  • As per MUFG’s Location & Return to Office Strategy policy, must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of either our Jersey City, NJ (Preferred), Tampa, FL, or Tempe, AZ office.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $133K - $162K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
