POSITION: Judicia lStaff Attorney – position numbers 000069 & 011757

SALARY: $67,881 - $86,592 annually. Actual position classification and beginning salary based on experience.

  • Law Clerk - $5,656.75 monthly.

  • Senior Law Clerk - $6,415.00 monthly (at least 2 years’ experience in the practice of law, subsequent to membership in The Florida Bar).

  • Career Attorney - $7,216.00 monthly (at least 5 years’ experience in the practice of law, subsequent to membership in The Florida Bar).

    LOCATION: *Tampa/St. Petersburg. Possibility of some remote work.

    • The court’s interim headquarters is in downtown Tampa, pending the completion of a new courthouse in downtown St. Petersburg later in 2025.

      EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with excellent academic standing; law review, journal, or significant law school writing and editing experience preferred.

      KNOWLEDGE, The selected candidate will serve as one of the two law clerks assisting a judge in

    SKILLS, AND the analysis of cases and motions and the drafting of orders.

    ABILITIES: The position requires an attorney who has excellent research, writing, and editing skills who will prepare in-depth analyses on a variety of legal issues and must be able to present ideas orally and in writing to the judges of the court. Time management skills and the ability to work effectivelywith others are crucial. All attorneys at the court must maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and handle matters honestly and impartially.
