Director Talent Acquisition (Dir Talent Acquisition)

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (1-2 days/week in office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of a listed Elevance Health PulsePoint location.

The Director Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading a multi-functional team responsible for the end-to-end sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and talent acquisition strategy for the enterprise.

How you will make an impact:

  • Acts as an enterprise talent strategist by researching, ideating, and constantly improving the talent acquisition strategy using data analytics, industry research, and business input.

  • Hire, lead, coach and mentor team members to deliver on defined operational metrics, and compliance.

  • Evaluate team competencies against talent acquisition competency model and develop goals to ensure continued professional growth.

  • Oversee a team of Managers of Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, and Talent Acquisition Strategy Managers, while continually optimizing organization design and structure.

  • Comprehensive analysis of Core TA capacity, talent acquisition KPIs, candidate feedback, utilization of resources, and market trends to ensure quality of hire, time-to-fill, and other relevant targets are achieved.

  • Continually develop and optimization of key performance metrics, including process improvements, and technology enhancements, leveraging market trends, benchmarks, and industry best practices.

  • Develop reporting scorecard for HRLT and report out on TA performance and market data.

  • Collaborate by bringing all key stakeholders (Business, HR and TA) together in a pro-active manner to align with business objectives and prioritized needs.

  • Drive technology focused strategies, tools and methodologies to find, attract, assess, and select the best talent in the marketplace.

  • Engage in workforce planning activities, including succession planning, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA degree in HR related field, and/or business or communications field and a minimum of 8 years of talent acquisition experience, with at least 4 years managing people and leading talent acquisition or HR teams; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies, with proficiency in using data analytics to measure and enhance talent acquisition performance.

  • Proficiency in workforce planning models, talent metrics, and performance indicators.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.

  • Proven experience in workforce planning, including forecasting, demand planning, and resource allocation, complemented by a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate business needs into effective talent strategies.

  • Understanding of M&A processes, with experience in mitigating talent risks and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams during due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger activities.

  • Experience in managing external RPO providers and vendor relationships, strong negotiation skills to drive cost-effective solutions, and a proven ability to measure and optimize RPO performance metrics.
