Voyig LLC Business Operations Manager Trainee in Tampa, Florida

Overview

We are looking for a Business Operations Manager for a growing team at an installation, manufacturing, and distribution company in Central Florida. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Clermont, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders.

The facility Business Operations Manager will be responsible for the Estimating, Order Entry, Install/Admin and Purchasing Departments, its employees, and the processes involved in all these functions. These duties include but are not limited to the following functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the estimating and quoting functions for new and existing customers.

  • Oversee all order entry functions to ensure accurate entry, tracking of key metrics, and establishment of improved processes for better service to both internal and external customers. Make sure production tickets are completed in a timely fashion.

  • Oversee install and admin functions of scheduling, invoicing and follow up to ensure our customers receive proper install on the dates they are expecting. Track efficiency of the department’s clerical staff as well as field technicians.

  • Oversee purchasing department. Make sure accurate cycle counts are occurring. Stay proactive on RNI and E&O to minimize adverse effects (service and dollars) of inventory variances and excess inventory.

  • Promote teamwork amongst the various departments. Provide cross training so we don’t threaten our value proposition if there are vacancies in certain positions.

  • Audit the process to verify info is correct, processes are being followed, and internal customers are provided the information they need.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

    Qualifications:

  • BA/BS preferred.

  • Strong aptitude of Microsoft Office programs-particularly Microsoft Excel. Prefer understanding of Biztrack and Great Plains.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Passion for closure and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to take on assignments and finish them effectively and on time.

  • Effective communication both verbal and written.

  • Ability to think fast and be creative to solve daily problems.

  • Ability to multi-task and delegate when timelines become a factor.

  • Experience in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing them.

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive versus reactive.

    Working Conditions:

  • Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements.

  • Job requires working in manufacturing or warehouse environment which includes high temperatures and humidity.

  • Job requires working in and around machinery/powered equipment and associated safety risks.

  • Job requires interaction with all levels within the location and all their direct reports (as needed).

  • Job requires interaction with customers to resolve issues.

    Direct Reports - might not have these in smaller facilities
