Robert Half is currently recruiting for a talented and analytical Business Analyst to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. Our client is a leading company in the property and casualty insurance industry, seeking a detail-oriented professional to support and enhance their business analytics projects. The ideal candidate will provide data-driven insights related to business performance, helping to develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize statistical methods, modeling, and analytical methodologies to develop and deploy tools such as dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to support decision-making.

• Process and analyze internal and external data using KPIs, accounting and finance data, business results, industry sources, and customer information.

• Interact and collaborate with users and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges.

• Coordinate with internal teams to build solutions for all levels of the Finance Department using Power BI.

• Maintain regular communication with leaders in the Finance Department to ensure alignment and understanding of analytical work.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the business analytics function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent relevant work experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of analytical work experience, with at least 1 year within the property and casualty insurance industry.

• Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, applications, and business drivers.

• SQL experience is a must. Experience with other data scrubbing and manipulation stools a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MSO/365 applications (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).

• Effective research, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

• Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate the value of analytical work to key stakeholders.

• Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible, adjusting to new requirements or unforeseen issues.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with team members across departments.
