Citigroup AVP BP&A Sr Analyst in Tampa, Florida
The BP&A Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams.
You will be joining a team to provide data science solutions to problems and questions effecting Business & Travel Shared Services and supporting Supply Chain Operations in various capacities in relationship to its WatchTower Program.
WatchTower is a cross functional team initiative, made up of both preventive and detective controls for invoice, travel, and expense data. You will be collaborating with the Risk and Control team and Duplicate Payment Operations team to develop, enhance, and maintain WatchTower processes and algorithms. You will partner to identify requirements, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and ultimately develop/enhance the algorithms covered by the Watchtower Program and Business & Travel Shared Services.
Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology partners and non-technical business stakeholders in various lines of business
Stakeholder Engagement: Present insights and recommendations translating analyses into actionable business decisions.
Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications - makes strategic recommendations.
Continuity of Business Testing and Data Validation of model processes.
Develop plans to test to maintain model integrity.
Develop regular reporting on model processes.
Engage technology partners where needed to implement changes and control implementations.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members for WatchTower Program.
Support the businesses with identifying potential solutions to make a process more efficient and apply possible technology solutions.
Support assessment reviews aimed at identifying gaps to policy and standards, defining further improvement opportunities, trainings, and best practices reviews.
Drive management for closure of control gaps identified by risk assessment processes.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of work experience
3+ years of experience in doing maths with bigdata.
Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem solving techniques.
Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Advanced SQL skills.
Strong proficiency in object-oriented languages - Python/PySpark
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
