Aerotek Automation Service Technician in Tampa, Florida

Travel Service Technician - Based out of Tampa, FL

Job Description

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for rebuilding existing parts of custom automated machinery purchased by customers. You will work on the lineup and installation of machines, ensuring they are run and tested efficiently. Additionally, you will assist customers in troubleshooting machine issues, create spare part requests, and complete service and expense reports at the end of each trip. You will also collaborate with the service manager to recommend spare parts and installation for worn or outdated components.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuild existing parts of custom automated machinery purchased by customers.

  • Work on the lineup and installation of machines, ensuring they are run and tested efficiently.

  • Assist customers in troubleshooting machine issues.

  • Fill out service and expense reports at the end of each trip.

  • Assist customers in creating spare part requests.

  • Collaborate with the service manager to recommend spare parts and installation for worn or outdated components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform math calculations (i.e., fractions and decimals)

  • Experience in using basic hand and power tools recommended but not required

  • Ability to navigate a computer (CAD experience helpful but not required)

  • Ability to read pneumatic and electrical schematics

  • 4 years experience working in automation machinery

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $90000.00
