About the Job:
The Architecture Senior Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both managing and actively participating in improvement of the internal offerings including evaluation of new technologies for physical security.
They will take a proactive role in assessing the current technology environment and proposing, designing, and implementing innovative, industry leading, solutions that support our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Identify new platform capabilities in coordination with multiple teams across the organization, including security, infrastructure & other engineering teams.
Actively participate in the architectural design, implementation, and management of new technologies to achieve these capabilities.
Be directly involved in the evaluation, conceptualization, and testing of these technologies through the conduct of hands-on proof of concept exercises.
Produce solutions which overcome the challenges of working in large scale environments with a need for high performance & security.
Work with platform users to understand their issues & requirements, then translate them to platform wide improvements.
Develop, maintain, and utilize technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
Apply Citi policies and follow all governance requirements for onboarding third party vendors and SaaS applications.
Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
Develops technology road maps, while keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, and recommends business directions based on these technologies.
Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Guides, influences, and persuades others with developed communication and diplomacy skills.

Qualifications:
10+ years relevant experience
3+ years of prior experience specifically with solution architecture or architect role
Knowledge of BareMetal Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments.
Experience with modern platform-as-a-service operating models
Proven experience in managing assessment and PoC of strategic technologies.
In depth understanding of system infrastructure, including networking, firewalls, storage offerings etc.
Strong communication skills, with the capability to advise on engineering topics at both a technical & executive level.
Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
Methodical, attention to detail
API design/development including underlying technologies, Domain-Driven Design, and micro-services development
An understanding of, and ideally experience with, cloud hosting providers and containerization technologies (OpenShift)
Integration middleware technologies (TIBCO Business Works/EMS, MQ, zOS Connect, Solace, Kafka) and message protocols/formats (JMS, SOAP, JSON, XML)
Security concepts and technologies related to authentication (MFA, risk-based authentication, biometrics, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), authorization, encryption, data protection, threat prevention, and S-SDLC best practices including one-time-password (OTP), SSL, PKI, DDoS remediation, anti-malware detection, and application scanning
Business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning technologies including SAS, R, Teradata, Hadoop, data science and visualization tools
Contribute to engineering excellence initiatives by identifying and applying tooling and processes as appropriate
Contribute to data, infrastructure, and cloud architecture initiatives
Review system, solution, application, infrastructure and data architectures, document findings, make recommendations and support implementation
Review new and existing third-party products and tools for fitness for purpose based on functional and non-functional requirements, and technology strategy
Make product and tool recommendations based on functional and non-functional requirements, and technology strategy
Scan the market for appropriate technology products and tools and SaaS services based on requirements
Execute proofs of concept to validate product and tool selections
Formal training in application architecture methodologies, standards, and patterns
Architecture experience in Citi or other related banking industry role is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
