Job Description Summary:

This role will lead the broad-based compensation function and reporting for the Total Rewards team. This role is critical in developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with our organizational objectives and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Sr. Manager will oversee the grade wage structure, job descriptions, market pricing, FLSA exemption review, compliance, survey submissions, and ad-hoc market analysis. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will design and lead the reporting, dashboarding, and analytics of the total rewards function in partnership with the respective Total Rewards teams.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Responsible for leading & managing the broad base compensation function, providing strategic direction on compensation projects & initiatives through planning, scoping, designing, execution, and administration.

  • Lead a team of compensation professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.

  • Work closely with HR, finance, and business leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.

  • Partner with the HR Technology and IT team to leverage technology in the pursuit of continuously optimizing and evolving compensation processes.

  • Provide operation support and guidance to stakeholders based on market data, internal equity, and business needs leveraging economic and cost impact models.

  • Develop custom compensation solutions to support unique organizational requirements.

  • Perform ad-hoc market analyses to address specific business needs and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Ensure all compensation practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Stay updated on legislative changes and trends impacting compensation and implement necessary adjustments.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding and support of compensation programs.

  • Develop and maintain analytics (dashboards, actionable reporting, etc.) to monitor the effectiveness and competitiveness of total rewards programs.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compensation data into broader HR and business reporting.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Statistics, or other related field.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, and job evaluation methodologies.

  • In-depth understanding of FLSA regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience in designing and implementing compensation reporting and analytics systems.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management software.

  • Ability to work on a personal or laptop computer for extended periods of time

  • Ability to operate general office equipment (copier, scanner, telephone)

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Master’s degree

  • Previous experience within the healthcare industry

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $124,025.34-$206,723.61
