    The Work You Will Do:

    • This is a highly responsible position that assists in handling complex matters including but not limited to the Agency Purchasing Card Program, SUNPASS Program and other assigned projects. This position provides direction to all agency personnel by serving as the Purchasing Card Administrator.

    • Oversees the Agency’s comprehensive Purchasing Card Program to ensure that all required controls and procedures are in place and working properly. Serves as point of contact for all inquiries dealing with the agency’s Purchasing Card Program.

    • Monitors all aspects of the program from card issuance to usage and reports all discrepancies to management. Recommends change to procedures as necessary.

    • Provides training for Purchasing Cardholders and approvers as needed. Prepares and distributes all Purchasing Card training materials.

    • Prepares and updates Purchasing Cardholders and approvers as needed. Prepares and distributes all Purchasing Card training materials.

    • Serves as liaison with Bank of America and the Department of Financial Services regarding all aspects of the Purchasing Card Program including card issuance and dispute resolution.

    • Performs other related duties as required.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of public purchasing, state purchasing laws and rules, and state purchasing process.

    • Knowledge of accounting and auditing practices.

    • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

    • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

    • Ability to meet deadlines.

    • Ability to take direction and deal effectively with changes in direction or policy.

    • Ability to operate computer effectively.

    • Ability to prepare financial reports.

    • Ability to work independently.

    • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

    • Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate financial and operational data.

      Minimum Requirements :

    The Purchasing Analyst-SES should possess the following:

    • At least two (2) years’ experience with Works

    • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ experience in accounting, finance, or business,orfour (4) years’ experience in state accounting, finance, or business.

    • Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Section 110.1127 and Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

    • Answers to qualifying questions must be verifiable within work and/or education history.
