POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Office of Financial Management reporting to the Revenue Management section. This is a full-time position that works closely with financial information and is responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, protected and in compliance with accounting standards. This position requires accounting knowledge and strong data analysis and research skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
Acting as system administrator for revenue systems such as credit card application, collection services, etc. Serving as backup administrator for RAMS and Wells Fargo remote deposit application.
Performing data cleansing activities for revenue systems;
Attending meetings and training opportunities related to new and current systems;
Generating, analyzing, and distributing monthly past due reports for RAMS invoices;
Reconciling RAMS to collection agency statements and ensuring RAMS accounts are updated accordingly;
Reconciling annual amounts due from other state agencies for yearend financial statement reporting (Form3);
Analyzing various reconciling items to determine cause of errors and how to correct them;
Reconciling and approving invoices to be paid for credit card, collection, and check processing fees;
Preparing annual reports such as Claims for Collections, Unclaimed Property, and PCI compliance reports; and
Analyzing overpayments on customer accounts and initiating appropriate resolutions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures;
Knowledge of the Florida Accounting Information System (FLAIR);
Ability to plan and organize work assignments;
Ability to utilize problem solving techniques and make decisions;
Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data;
Ability to prepare financial statements and reports;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to determine work priorities and insure proper completion of work assignments;
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others; and
Ability to use computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word.

BASE SALARY:
$52,859.88
NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
