    $70,000.00- $80,000.00 Annually $2,692.31- $3,076.92 Bi-weekly

    Position Summary

    This is a highly technical position that entails analysis of agency programs to provide information required by management. The incumbent will supervise staff utilizing statistical techniques and related software to obtain, summarize, and analyze data pertaining to costs, clients, utilization, and other aspects of APD programs. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of reports and presentations to communicate results to management.

    This position reports directly to the Bureau Chief of Quality and Program Effectiveness and provides management level assistance to the Bureau Chief on projects as assigned. This position works on assignments involving agency-wide subject matter and provides fiscal analyses and written materials as appropriate. This position requires advanced knowledge of agency budgetary, fiscal, operational, and administrative functions.

    The Work You Will Do

  • Provides supervision, guidance, and oversight for all direct reports within the data analysis unit to include motivating, training, communicating with and evaluating employees within the section; planning and directing their work; having the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, assign, reward, and/or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such actions.

  • Provides technical consultation and assistance to Agency management and staff concerning the collection, analysis, and reporting of client data from Agency database systems (ABC/iBudget/iConnect) and external related resources Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FMMIS).

  • Responsible for high-level analytical work products containing fiscal, operational and/or client related data for agency executive management and project managers, as assigned by the Bureau Chief of Quality and Program Effectiveness.

  • Provides technical consultation and assistance for the design and maintenance of information systems (iConnect) and reporting developed by the agency and/or vendors.

  • Oversight and review of waiver services reports and demographic reports which are submitted to the Governor’s Office and Legislature on a routine and/or ad hoc basis.

  • Responsible for monthly agency reports and charts as requested by State Office and regional staff.

  • Responsible for reconciliation of waiver reimbursement invoice payment data from the Agency for Healthcare Administration against agency system records (ABC/iBudget) and Medicaid paid claims data (FMMIS).

  • Creates tools, templates, charts, and graphics as needed to support the objectives of various projects.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of relevant work experience

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and other required software applications.

  • Fundamentals of descriptive and inferential statistics, ability to work independently in structuring and executing assignments.

    Ability to:

  • Ability to problem solve, perform in a fast-paced high-volume work environment. ·

  • Ability to organize data in a logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.

  • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.

  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvement.

    As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

    Background Screening Requirement
