Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

We are seeking to hire an OPS Operations and Management Consultant I who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

This position is located in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Medicaid Operations & Procurement (DCOS). DCOS is responsible for legislative and communications/outreach efforts, project and process management, process improvement initiatives, coordinating human resource activities for the Medicaid Program, Agency purchasing and contract administration, Medicaid Program operational process tracking, and other cross-divisional tasks.

DCOS is also responsible for training activities for Medicaid Program staff, and the maintenance of Medicaid's internal and external websites.

This position is responsible for providing assistance to management staff within the Deputy Chief of Staff's Office (DCOS). The duties and responsibilities include:

• Assists leadership/management with special projects

• Prepares and submits provider alerts

• Assists leadership/management with preparing presentations and material for external meetings

• Monitors and approves calendar invites for the conference rooms

• Responsible for file management

• Responsible for general office upkeep

• Carrier for AHCA Leadership

• Assists with web updates

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Assist management with daily calendar organization

This position will be hired at the minimum salary of $22.60/hourly and is non-negotiable.

This position is not a remote or telework position; it will have to report to a Field Office or the Headquarters in Tallahassee.

What is OPS employment?

OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignments, and terminations at the discretion of the Agency head or designee. OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the Agency head.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• 1yr of professional administrative experience.

• 1yr of experience preparing presentations/meeting material.

• 1yr of experience in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
