Google Strategic Partner Development Manager, Android and Hardware Partnerships in Taipei, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience working in the mobile chain industry.

  • Experience in project management, business development, and working with partners in China.

  • Experience working with OEMs/ODMs and/or related mobile-chain start-ups or corporations.

  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently in order to manage the client across Greater China.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in translating global strategies and into actionable Asia Pacific implementation.

  • Experience with ongoing partner relationship management.

  • Strong negotiation and business making skills, and experience working closely with key players in the mobile value chain.

  • Ability to execute C-level negotiations with strong presence in external and internal meetings.

  • Ability to interpret legal documents and drive work with attorneys on drafting specific contract language.

  • Ability to operate independently with a high attention to detail and to function effectively with multiple cross-functional teams, including partner-facing teams.

Whether adding to the core Android experience, forging new markets for digital content, creating immersive and portable versions of our products or managing relationships with a global community of developers, the Android Business Development and Hardware Platform Partnerships team is giving you Google on the go.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

  • Monitor and analyze major industry metrics, provide insights and recommendations, and communicate these through executive level presentations and documentation.

  • Open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory talks, build consensus with senior executives internal and external to Google, discuss complex, strategic partnerships that are often first-of-its-kind with C-level internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify, create, lead, discuss and implement effective, and often complex, business agreements that drive results across the Android and Chrome platform business.

  • Identify and prioritize partner opportunities. Become an expert on each partner-opportunities' organization, business model, and strategic priorities. Serve as the ongoing Android relationship manager helping to drive value from the partnership.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships, working both with partners and, in some cases, via partners to address the larger ecosystem in a scalable fashion.
