Description
The SoC Materials Program Manager is responsible for managing the supply and logistics of critical materials required for the successful development and manufacturing of system-on-chip (SoC) products. This includes coordinating with internal engineering and product teams as well as external OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) suppliers to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain to support the diverse product builds.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement, inventory, and distribution of SoC materials (e.g., silicon wafers, substrates, packages, test sockets, etc.) to support the product roadmap and manufacturing schedules of various product teams.
Collaborate closely with internal SoC design, validation, and ATE testing teams, as well as product teams, to understand their unique material requirements and timelines for different product builds.
Engage with OSAT suppliers to secure capacity and monitor delivery performance to meet the needs of multiple product teams.
Develop and implement material forecasting models to anticipate supply and demand fluctuations across the diverse product portfolio.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions, material shortages, or quality issues, that could impact different product builds.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and responsive support for the various product teams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve material-related issues and ensure timely resolutions that minimize impact on product development and manufacturing.
Optimize inventory levels to balance cost, availability, and flexibility across the product portfolio.
Provide regular reporting and updates on material supply, demand, and risk factors to key stakeholders, including product team leaders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness to support the evolving needs of the product teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills to balance the needs of various product teams.
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in data analysis, forecasting, and project management tools.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate with product teams and suppliers.
Willingness to travel to supplier locations and production sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain management, materials planning, or procurement, with a focus on supporting multiple product teams.
Strong understanding of semiconductor packaging, testing, and manufacturing processes, as well as the unique requirements of different product builds.
