Senior Electrical Engineer - Concept Development

Dell’s Special Vehicles Team (SVT), part of the CTO Systems Group in Dell’s Client Solutions Group, is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to work directly and cross-functionally with technologists, extended engineering and product core team members to bring innovation concepts to life. SVT is responsible for delivering technology demonstrations, proof of concepts, and advancing Dell’s leadership in Innovation. This specialized team brings together experts in multiple development disciplines to introduce innovative solutions and advance technology development for our customers.

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the partial and full hardware development from ideation to concept. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & debugging and validation of architectures to deliver state-of-the-art concepts for a changing world. We work closely with designers, and cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards, while offering the proper climate for innovation by individual and collective ideation.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer , you will be responsible for:

  • Working on concept Electrical designs that are robust, innovative and executed with key partners and ODMs and showcases the key experiences.

  • Work with a multi-talented Global team to execute concepts

  • Partners with technology suppliers and partners such as ODMs and first and second-tier integrators

Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as an electrical engineer well versed in core electrical concepts.

  • PC and/or mobile architecture knowledge and track record of work in the field.

  • Innovative streak in your work and ability to solve situations that require out-of-the-box thinking.

  • Team player with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, internal and external to the organization.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required.

Desirable Requirements

  • Ability to understand and translate ideas to concepts.

  • Executive presentation skills.
