We are seeking an experienced leader to head our Footwear Materials Manufacturing team, focusing on Component vendors’ management. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for executing materials excellence strategies through vendor performance management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials while mitigating supply chain risks.

As a Footwear Materials Manufacturing(FWMM) Senior Manager under MatSC Org, you will lead a team to drive materials excellence in partnership with our materials vendors, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and results-driven, you thrive in a cross-functional environment. You are comfortable engaging with different external manufacturing vendors and internal teams, tailoring your messages accordingly and building strong partnerships. This role is perfect for a team-player with drive, curiosity, and exceptional communication skills.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Through your team, you will drive engage with vendors that delivers strong performance for Materials Manufacturing quality, delivery, costing and sustainability priorities. You will manage key initiatives execution, alert to both opportunities and risks for relevant objectives, managing and escalating as needed. You will manage manufacturing and delivery issues across your team, ensuring impacts are mitigated and issues are resolved. At the same time to define and cultivate the innovated and proactive opportunities in order to prevent risks occurring.
Your typical day/week will include leading and supporting your team to deliver results by ensuring the team’s focus is on clearly defined weekly and seasonal priorities. You’ll organize the team against an annual calendar of engagement with vendors, working collaboratively with the full FWMM team as well as relevant internal stakeholders in the Nike Materials ecosystem. You will balance workloads across your team, ensuring they can successfully deliver against immediate needs as well as long term priorities.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role can be based in either Taipei or Taichung Nike Office, and it reports into the Director, Materials Manufacturing, based in Taichung. This role will work collaboratively with external manufacturing partners, across the full MatSC organization, and with other key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING
Ideally Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, materials, or a related field (Master degree is a plus) or 7+ years of experience in materials sourcing, costing, manufacturing, or supply chain management, preferably in the footwear industry.
Specific knowledge and experience in footwear, apparel or accessories manufacturing and supply chain is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local language, including meeting facilitation & presentations.
Strong project and time management skills; commitment to delivering results on time.
Ability to network across a complex, matrixed environment, and utilize internal and external resources properly.
Strong influencing skills & ability to collaborate and drive change with various external partners and cross-functional internal teams.
Comfortable engaging with both external partners and internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, and building strong partnerships.
Ability to maintain focus and drive through ambiguity and change.
Experience in leading, inspiring, and coaching a team of direct reports is highly preferred.
Experience in a supply planning role is highly preferred.
Experience in data systems or with data analytics skill and mindset is highly preferred.
Ability to travel 10%.
