This resource will be on the Wintel/VMware Operations team which supports VMware Operations with a focus on Microsoft Windows, VMWare ESXi and vCenter. A successful candidate will have the ability to deploy and troubleshoot a mixture of physical and virtual infrastructure delivery tasks as assigned. Within the Server Operations Team, you will help design and operationalize services to support the agile growth in our Microsoft Windows and VMWare product offerings. You will partner with the VMWare Stability and Engineering team during all phases of the VMWare ESXi lifecycle to support design and operational methods. You will fulfill a cross-functional role by driving operational stability and performance enhancements to the supported infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with other system administrators and engineers to pave the way for the next generation private cloud environment - moving beyond traditional practices and enhancing our customer experience. You have a passion for systems engineering, operational stability, monitoring, automation and defined networks.

VMware vSphere ESXi and Microsoft Windows System Administration.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the effective operations on Microsoft Windows and VMWare production systems

• Primary contribution involves being responsible for vSphere ESXi, vCenter Server and Microsoft Windows OS, Clustering solutions such as SQL AON, Microsoft Clustering etc. administration and support

• Provides hardware/operational support across Windows, VMWare server and virtual appliances

• Utilize VMware VRLI to diagnose and improve performance in the virtual infrastructure

• Utilize VMware vROPs and reporting for confirmation, troubleshooting, and capacity planning

• Improving customized provisioning using vRA, and vRO to automate and simplify tasks

• Understanding of configuring, troubleshooting, and administering IT server virtualization and networking

• On-call/off hours work will occasionally be required

• Well versed with ITIL concepts such as Incident, Change and Problem Management

• Ongoing support of our physical server and internal cloud platform to ensure superior customer experience

• Participate in internal projects that help scale the environment, help implement best practices, and improve our overall methodology of operational support

• Assure 24/7/365 systems availability for our Windows and VMWare platform

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Certification in VMWare ESXi Administration and Microsoft Windows

• 8+ years of experience in VMWare vSphere and Windows Administratrion

• 5+ years of experience in iSCISI

• 5+ years of experience and working knowledge of Windows GPO and AD administration tasks

• 5+ years of experience in VMware SRM & Recovery Plan

• 6+ years of experience in ITIL v3/v4 and Service Now

• 3+ years of experience VMWare NSX

• 3+ years of experience in deploying using VMware HCX (migration tool)

• 3+ years of experience deploying converged and hyper-converged solutions such as VMware Cloud Foundations, VSAN, VxRAIL, or similar technologies

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience on scripting tools i.e. Python, PowerShell etc.
