As an Operations Finance Coordinator, you perform transactional level accounting activities to ensure that the organization complies with relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements, and presents a complete and accurate statement of its financial position.

A day in the Life:

  • Collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information to providemanagement with accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.

  • Works on transactional level tasks.

  • Demonstrates the ability to prepare journal entries; maintain and reconcilegeneral ledger accounts that are adequately supported and documented.

  • Consistently perform these tasks timely and within a specified closing schedule.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related courses

Experience

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 1-2 years).

  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients

  • Ability to navigate and perform basic functions within Oracle (ERP System)

  • Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively

  • Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results

  • Strong written and oral communication skills especially with internal clients

  • Strong organizational and project administration skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data

  • Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles, and regulations/legal

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • May interact with others, relating and capturing sensitive information. Interaction includes diverse organizations.

  • Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.

  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as decided by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.

  • Regular and consistent attendance.
