Diageo APAC Overhead Regional Lead in Taguig City, Philippines

Job Description :

The APAC Overhead Regional Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and leading overhead driven initiatives and finance agenda for the region. The role requires to collaborate well with the markets being supported, service delivery teams and other groups whose expertise required to deliver the projects and the finance functional agenda. The APAC Overhead Regional Lead is encouraged to help run changes coming from global initiatives.

The OH Operations & Transformation Lead is responsible for handling the APAC overhead team in planning and overhead management processes, including payroll. In addition, the incumbent participates in recommending top-down strategy, driving overhead efficiencies, and leading organizational change projects.

The role reports into the Overhead Global COE Lead and coordinates the work with Senior Stakeholders in the APAC Region.

The APAC Overhead Regional lead is responsible to the overheads management of Diageo APAC, including centralized and standardized reporting and analysis, forecasting and planning as well as optimising and driving effectiveness and efficiency in the accounting processes.

Will need to establish effective relationships with the following key stakeholders: APAC Financial Controllers, APAC senior budget holders (with special focus on indirect cost category owners), Shared Services process leads. The OH Operations & Transformation Lead plays a key role in the embedment of indirect cost management principles across the market.

The APAC Overhead Regional Lead is encouraged to have a good solid understanding of the various financial activities to be able to embed and drive significant change whilst working with key project SMEs.

  • Fully owns delivery of APAC yearly budget from all aspects

  • Collaborates with wide variety of senior partners, Presidents/Vice Presidents

  • Responsible for handling budgets as it relates to overhead driven initiatives and ensures that projects (local or global) are managed within the constraints (time, scope, and quality) available.

Effective management of overheads requires phenomenal understanding of drivers across the various parts of the business as well as great relationships to the functional and business heads as well.

Works directly with senior business leaders to craft change interventions and course accurate overall change activities i.e.

  • Market level: GMs, FDs.

  • Above Market: Regional CFOs, Presidents, Global Function VPs, and SVPs.

Qualifications

  • University / College Degree in finance / business

Work experience

  • Minimum of 15+ years working and management experience in multinational corporate environment, with successful experience in handling and motivating change in the following areas:

  • Financial and Management Accounting, Controlling & Reporting processes

  • Has deep complementary experience in the finance field, and / or senior BAU roles and / or evidence of leadership in a Programme Lead role.

  • Likely to have depth of change leadership / delivery experience across a number of industry sectors. CPG / FMCG experience highly desirable.

  • Will have multiple examples of leading cross functional, multi-market or global change, or integrating change across a number of programmes that are impacting the same target areas at the same time.

  • Has broad and deep experience - multiple functions and multiple types of change.

  • Most of the experience will be on change leadership and delivery on major programmes or portfolios of programmes.

  • Has experience of leading change management on significant initiatives that are NOT focused on systems driven change i.e., BPR, Capability Building etc.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior business partners from finance, marketing, sales, and IT functions.

  • Accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organized, flexible and able to work effectively across the organization

  • Experience on people management

  • Effective leadership and coaching skills

  • Experience with Shared services process activities

  • Project / change management

  • Business experience and understanding

  • Risk assessment

  • Senior stakeholder management

  • Advanced knowledge in computer applications: SAP, TM1 and Microsoft Office
