Leadership: Reports to a dyad senior leadership partnership between the Chief Nurse Executive and Chief Operating Officer. Partners with the Chief Medical Officer for the Mary Bridge Children's Ambulatory Network for excellence in patient and family centered care in the ambulatory network. Provides nursing leadership/competency oversight for nursing staff Serve as a champion for improving the culture in alignment with High Reliability to include coaching/mentoring, facilitating educational sessions and sustaining best practices Partners with interprofessional staff to achieve mutual goals that support organizational initiatives and strategies Incorporates the voice of the patient or customer Maintains a visible connection to the clinical staff, clinicians, and leadership via rounding and daily activities Program Development: Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Executive/Chief Operating Officer (CNE/COO), MB Ambulatory leaders, Quality, Information Services & Technology and others to identify, prioritize, develop, integrate, and execute professional practice initiatives. Oversight and responsibility of implementation of MHS approved competency management model, including initial and ongoing competency and associated education plan(s) for the MB ambulatory departments in alignment with MHS Education Services and Quality Services Partners with senior leadership to develop strategies and build a culture of clinical excellence and promotes the advancement of professional growth and development in nursing that drives nurse competence, retention and, engagement within the MB ambulatory realm. Operations: Supports effective operations through the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental programs, policies and procedures in the Mary Bridge Ambulatory Programs Ensures delivery of services aligns with operating budget in support of achieving the overall financial objectives of Mary Bridge as well as the organization Establishes consistency in professional practice, education, timely regulatory updates, and proper documentation standards and adherence to compliance initiatives. Participates in strategic planning process and aligns departmental l goals and objectives with the mission, vision, and values of the organization and nursing. Supports productivity improvement efforts across the organization that incorporate 'best practices" with focus on appropriate allocation of resources and improved efficiency.
