We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Language Access Analyst to join our team in Tacoma, WA. This role is crucial in ensuring that all patients and families, regardless of their preferred language, receive the highest quality care and communication.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for reviewing data related to interpretation needs, conducting root cause analysis, and making recommendations to better serve VMFH patients and families who have diverse preferred language needs other than English. Additionally, you will review internal data related to language access and interface directly with the organization’s language vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize a variety of data sources (incident reports, EMRs, etc.) to identify root causes of language access issues, trends across locations, and market-wide needs. Make recommendations for improvement.
System Proficiency: Utilize various electronic systems including multiple Electronic Medical Records, Google Sheets, Documents, and virtual communication software applications for data analysis.
Data Visualization and Communication: Create clear and concise analysis using Google Suite (charts, graphs, trend lines, etc.) to communicate findings to clinical teams, education staff, and language vendor staff.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams and external language vendors to ensure effective communication and coordination of language access services.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor ongoing language access needs, adjust priorities to meet changing conditions, and establish/maintain proper recordkeeping and reporting systems.
Qualifications
Education/Work Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree in Business Administration or healthcare-related field and three years of related data analytics experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
An equivalent combination of experience and education that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities may substitute for the degree requirement.
Pay Range
$27.77 - $40.27 /hour
