Job Title: General Production Operator (Processing)

Job Description

Ideal candidates will have experience in machine operation, though experience specifically in food production is not required. Candidates with computer skills, the ability to read manuals, enter data into spreadsheets, and attention to detail are highly desirable. Experience in food quality assurance (QA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in a food production environment.

• Read and understand operation manuals.

• Enter data accurately into spreadsheets.

• Ensure high attention to detail during production processes.

• Inspect products to maintain quality standards.

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Lift and move products weighing up to 35 lbs as needed.

• Stand and work on feet for 8-10 hours a day.

Essential Skills

• Machine operation experience.

• Experience in food production or QA is ideal but not required.

• Ability to enter data into spreadsheets.

• Attention to detail and counting skills.

• Ability to read and follow manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record of strong attendance.

• Ability to lift upwards of 35 lbs.

• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.

• Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus.

Work Environment

The facility is a noodle manufacturing plant located in Frederickson, which is not accessible by public transportation. The work environment can be warm due to large ovens and loud due to the machinery. Candidates will need to adhere to clean hygiene standards and be prepared to stand for extended periods. Shifts are structured to provide a balanced workweek, with occasional adjustments for weekend coverage or overtime. The dress code prohibits facial hair, nail polish, fake nails, piercings, and strong scents.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.50/hr.
