Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in a warehouse and door shop environment. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a hyster sit-down forklift to stock and replenish building products within dedicated warehouse locations. This position requires extensive use of RF scanners and necessitates experience with sit-down forklifts. Combilift experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Operate hyster sit-down forklift to stock and replenish building products
Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and order pulling
Replenish dedicated warehouse locations
Handle and move materials safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate records of inventory and completed tasks
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols
Essential Skills
Sit-down forklift experience
Experience with RF scanners
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
High School diploma or GED
1 year of related warehouse experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Combilift experience
Military experience preferred
Consistent work history
Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Ability to perform all job functions safely

Work Environment
The work environment can be a bit noisy in the door shop, but it is clean. The position operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no overtime for temporary workers. Steel-toed boots are required. Employees may work in varying weather conditions, particularly when pulling composite decking materials. We provide warm weather gear for outdoor tasks.
