Description

We currently have an immediate need for a skilled and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Duties include working closely with our team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

Responsibilities:

• Record all day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

• Assisting in reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, income taxes.

• Maintaining a well-organized and streamlined accounting system.

• Maintenance of the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records.

• Processing invoices/bills so that they can be paid in a timely manner.

• Processing business expenses.

• Working with account receivable clerk and others to resolve account issues when necessary.

• Preparing financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  Requirements

• Proven bookkeeping experience with solid understanding of accounting payable/receivable principles.

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.

• Knowledge of bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks).

• Diploma in finance, business administration or a related field.

• Excellent data entry skills along with analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Proficient communication skills -- both written and verbal.
