We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our organization. In this role, you will support the General Accounting team in various areas of accounting. Actively participates in month end close processes to ensure that they are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Location: This position may be done HYBRID out of one the following home office locations:
Houston, TX: 11740 Katy Freeway, Energy Tower III Ste 600, 77079
Syracuse, NY: 100 Madison Street, 13202
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $63,000.
What you will DO:
Assists in the preparation of the firm’s financial statements by preparing and posting journal entries.
Responsible for the preparation and research of monthly account reconciliations.
Responsible for preparing various schedules, reports, and analyses on a regular basis.
Responsible for documentation of departmental procedures as necessary.
Responsible for preparing supporting documents and perform tasks related to the external audit.
What you will BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Must have strong multi-tasking and organization skills.
Must be proficient with Excel.
Possess high ethical standards including honesty, integrity, and dedication.
Broker-dealer or other related financial services industry experience preferred.
