Senior Staff Accountant at Hidden Level
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports. The Senior Staff Accountant manages general ledger accounts, prepares financial statements in accordance with GAAP, oversees accounts receivable and payable, and supports budgeting processes. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant ensures regulatory compliance, maintains internal financial controls, and prepares materials for auditors and tax preparers.
As a Senior Staff Accountant at Hidden Level, you can expect to...
Provides accounting support to assigned business units(s) and acts as a liaison between accounting and other departments.
Maintains general ledger accounts, prepares journal entries, and performs account reconciliations
Supports accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepares and reviews financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintains and reconciles fixed asset schedules
Oversees accounts payable and receivable processes
Assists with annual budget preparation and analyzes actual vs. budget variances
Ensures regulatory compliance and compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
Leads audit processes and prepares documentation for auditors
Assists with tax filings and responds to requests from tax preparers
Train other accounting team members
Proactively identifies areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Completes special projects as assigned to support corporate objectives.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
5 years of accounting work experience required
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required
CPA license preferred
Required Skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including knowledge of advanced functions and formulas
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (CostPoint a plus)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments and complete work by required due dates
Commitment to providing world-class customer service
Ability to interact professionally with employees across all levels of the organization
Works independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $83,000 to $100,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
