SUNY Upstate Medical University Scheduler Clinical Neurophysiology in Syracuse, New York
Job Summary:
The Scheduler - Clinical Neurophysiology is responsible for the coordination and scheduling for Clinical Neurophysiology dept testing such as EEG's (Inpatient/Outpatient University Hospital, Outpatient Upstate Health Care Center, Outpatient EMG and Epilepsy Monitoring Pediatric and Adult units and Epilepsy Surgical patients. Serves as a liaison to internal & external departments/agencies and coordinates scheduling procedures with multiple patient care and testing areas. Obtains insurance authorizations as necessary. Answers and directs phone calls to appropriate CNL staff. Assists Team Leader with quality assurance projects and performs support duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree with two years relevant experience, preferably in a health care setting or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to manage multiple priorities required. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Surgical and medical scheduling preferred. EPIC EMR Software experience preferred.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday with flexible shifts ranging from 7:00am-4:30 pm
