We are offering a Contract to Hire employment opportunity for a Purchase & Sales Specialist in Syracuse, New York. The individual will be a key part of our team, assisting in the procurement process, coordinating supply delivery services, and performing various accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming shipments of goods and supplies, making sure to verify quantities, condition, and documentation against packing slips and invoices.

• Communicate effectively with procurement manager, staff, and vendors.

• Assist Procurement and Accounts Payable with follow-up on open purchase orders.

• Coordinate donation and other supply pick-ups or deliveries.

• Assist in vouchering grants and tracking accounts receivable, as needed.

• Provide cross coverage for other Accounting positions, when required.

• Respond to client and vendor inquiries, delivering great customer service in a detail oriented, polite, and efficient manner.

• Support financial guidelines and internal controls.

• Report ongoing deliverables to CFO.

• Promote a safety-first attitude by setting a positive example and ensuring all employees are following safety policies and procedures.

• Perform other necessary accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements • Proficiency in 3M software

• Experience with various Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with different ERP Solutions

• Practical experience with IBM AS/400 system

• Ability to use About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Knowledge of Buying Processes

• Excellent Communication skills
