Crouse Hospital Patient Care Tech in Syracuse, New York
The Patient Care Tech Performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.
minimum education/certification licenses:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of one of the following educational programs:
Successful completion in a Certified Nursing Aid program with certificate
OR
Successful completion in the fundamentals of nursing coursework and clinical rotation in hospital setting OR
1 year previous experience as a patient care tech in an ED
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum of 1 year, 2 year preferred of patient care experience in an acute care setting
Preferred:
Completion of a phlebotomy course
SPECIAL SKILLS/EQUIPMENT:
Required
Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date
