Syracuse University Part-Time Faculty - Advanced Legal Topics in Syracuse, New York
The College of Law is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a two-credit compressed-format course, The Intersections of Immigration & Employment Policy and Law, in our online JDInteractive program during the Fall 2024 term. The Intersections of Immigration & Employment Policy and Law course addresses general statutory interpretation principles and specific court cases examining the interaction of immigration and a variety of employment laws. Course topics include major immigration legislation, legislative history, legislative process, policy making, and the dynamics and strategies of client counseling and litigation. The course also features guest speakers (to be arranged by the course instructor) from government, legal practice, and other relevant organizations that help draw out the practical implications of course material.
