Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center is recruiting Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) to join their Mobile Integration Team (MIT). Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As an LMSW for HPC’s MIT Team, you will work independently to provide therapeutic, culturally competent, and evidence-based treatment and support services to individuals with mental illness in the community in a setting that best meets their recovery needs including: - Providing crisis assessments and interventions. - Teaching and supporting symptom management skills.- Improving medication management skills.- Providing individualized supportive counseling sessions.- Accompanying individuals for trips within the community. - Providing linkages to community supports and services. - Providing family and caregiver support and education.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).OR Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
